Ideas for Sending Postcards in September

Posted by QuantumDigital on September 4th, 2013

It’s time to go back to school! As you have learned, keeping top of mind to both clients and prospects is key towards the success of any business. If you are a realtor, this constant touch can mean the difference between having repeat listings and referral business, and no listings at all. By incorporating direct mail marketing into your marketing mix, along with various online marketing tactics such as email and mobile, you can make your efforts even more targeted and effective. Additionally, including postcard mailings in your marketing mix adds a personal touch that is often missing in online and email marketing communications.

Like every other marketing tactic, postcard marketing takes careful planning and effort. In addition to segmenting and targeting your farming list, you have to think of reasons to reach out and communicate with your sphere of influence. In case you are having a hard time coming up with some for September, here are a few timely ideas.

Grandparents Day – September 8th: This is an opportune time to draw compassionate attention to seniors. Use this occasion to remind people to show appreciation and respect to grandparents and the elderly, particularly those in nursing homes.

Patriot Day and National Day of Service and Remembrance - September 11th: Also known as 9/11 Day, this day is dedicated toward the remembrance of those who died or were injured during the 2001 events. For this particular day, you can send postcards to your clients and prospects alike with some ways through which they can show their patriotism. If memorial ceremonies are to occur in your neighborhoods of expertise, listing those can demonstrate your deep knowledge of those residential real estate areas.

National Stepfamily Day – September 16th: Did you know that one in three American citizens live in a stepfamily? This day offers you a chance to encourage recipients to show appreciation and support to those who are members of blended families. If there are National Stepfamily Day picnics or other activities in your area, include those details on the postcard. Don’t forget to include a link to your website so recipients can find homes available for sale.

Constitution Day – September 17th: Also known as Citizenship Day, this holiday serves as a reminder of the day when the U.S Constitutional Convention signed the Constitution on 1787. Send postcards with this theme that encourage your farming list to familiarize themselves with the document. Include in your message local activities, learning opportunities, parades and demonstrations that honor this day.
