How to Use LinkedIn for Real Estate Marketing

by Jamie Matusek | February 5th, 2009

We (QuantumDigital) hosted a few educational webinars last week on the best practices for real estate direct marketing. In our real estate direct marketing survey conducted last summer, we found that ’sphere of influence’ was still the number one way to get new business. LinkedIn and Facebook were the top two social platforms being used by real estate professionals to help build their sphere of influence.

One of the tips we focused on in the webinar was using LinkedIn to help forge and grow a strong sphere of influence. Consistently using email and targeted direct mail in your marketplace is extremely important; and, using LinkedIn to help build your prospect and customer base will allow you to further expand your direct marketing efforts.

Several of you asked for more information on how to use LinkedIn. So, I took the liberty of finding a few quick resources that you can refer to. You can read more about upcoming educational webinars on our press page.

Happy networking!

    Hello,

Our editorial board came across your name and asked me to get in touch with you. I wanted to see if you were available to lead a live webinar via conference call on June 1st at 12 EST on “How to Get 5,000 Followers on LinkedIn as a Real Estate Agent.” This webinar is part of our Instant Impact series that shares thought leadership on breaking news, trends and strategies and has featured hundreds of top executives, real estate lawyers and senior lawyers from 60% of the largest 200 law firms. If you can let me know as soon as possible if you are interested it would be greatly appreciated.

We would want to get you the 15-slide PowerPoint outline in the next couple of days to start preparing, although we have already prepared an outline for it, you would simply fill in the blanks. The webinar would feature you going through the PowerPoint for about 60 minutes (with about 15 minutes worth of questions from our moderator and audience). We produce the webinar live, then also save it to CD and distribute it to places such as Amazon.com, Research & Markets and hundreds of other places that sell business publications.

You’ll receive 4 free passes to your webinar which will allow your colleagues or clients to attend. Additionally, the professional exposure you’ll receive from leading the webinar is tremendous, as the webinar is going to be marketed to over 5,000 professionals, a press release issued on Google News, and thousands of our customers being notified of you leading a webinar on the topic. Our previous speakers have been extremely pleased with the exposure, with many getting interest from new clients and others being contacted by book publishers, magazines, blogs, trade shows and other groups about featuring them as a thought leader.

Please feel free to give me a call with any questions at 415.578.2080 as we are looking to get a speaker booked as soon as possible and feel you would be a great fit.

    Warmest Regards,
    Laura Jacques
    VP, Speaker relations

I might give LinkedIn a shot. Twitter and Facebook are the two social media tools giving me the most results right now. Here’s a good article on this blog if you want to learn how to use them better: http://www.connectionsinrealestate.com/real-estate-marketing-via-social-media.html
