Knowledge@Wharton recently painted a gloomy portrait of the newspaper industry’s shrinking readerships and revenues, citing the recent bankruptcies of the Los Angeles Times and the Chicago Tribune, amongst others. While I agree with this general trend, I’m let down by the ideas Knowledge@Wharton and Wired outline for newspapers to regain their readership.

Always review messages with and without images enabled before sending. Look at your e-mails the way your recipients do. How far do you have to read into them to learn who the sender is or what the e-mail is about?
